The administration offices will be closed during the summer from June 26th. We will open again August 7th. The academic advisor/guidance counsellor will also be on vacation between July 3rd and July 31st.
Letter with information about course starts and introductory meetings will be sent out in good time before the fall semester begins. Course schedules, syllabuses and reading lists will also be found on the courses' webpages about the same time.
Information for our International Master Students
If you are missing credits from the first year of the programme, please contact the examiner for the course that you are missing to see what is missing. If it is a course at the Department of Communication and Media, please see this document (PDF) for the exact dates of submission for take-home exams in each course. To be able to submit, please make sure you are registered to the course. If you do not know if you are registered, contact Linda Troein (in August).
First - Don't miss!
The welcome event for new master students is held in room A339 on August 25th between 12 and 3 or 4 pm.
If you do not have a housing guarantee or have received a message from LU Accommodation that you are on the waiting list, we strongly encourage you to start looking for other housing options now. You are responsible for finding your own housing. Please check advertised housing at Bopoolen.nu.
Another option for housing is to apply through AF bostäder. They have an annual housing lottery for new students. Read more about AF Bostäder and the annual lottery here.
Arrival Day, 15 August (9am-8pm)
We encourage all international students to arrive on 15 August. On Arrival Day you will be greeted at Copenhagen Airport (between 07:30am and 19.30pm), be able to register your arrival, buy tickets for events, receive information and collect your LU Accommodation housing keys.
On Arrival Day, services are available between 9am and 8pm. Read more about what happens on Arrival Day here.
Can't make it to Arrival Day?
If you are arriving on another day than Arrival Day, you will need to get to Lund on your own. Learn how to get to Lund - including a video on how to get from Copenhagen airport.
If you have a confirmed room through LU Accommodation, you can pick up your housing keys at the LU Accommodation office from 10 August. Make sure you check their opening hours beforehand! If you cannot arrive during these opening hours, you will need to find another place to stay until you can visit them to pick up your keys. Read more about picking up your keys before/after Arrival Day.
Following Arrival Day there will be a two-week Orientation Programme for international students. The activities during these orientation weeks are designed to give you the practical information you need as a new student at Lund University. They are also an excellent opportunity for you to get to know the city and the region through excursions, events and activities, as well as to make new friends and get engaged in the student life.
Read more about the Orientation Weeks and find the Orientation Weeks schedule for autumn 2017 here (dates and venues are subject to change - you will find the final schedule in your welcome package you receive on Arrival Day).
