Beskrivning
The course is concerned with the development and appropriate application of rhetorical skills in written and oral communication, considering cross-cultural understanding. The development of these skills will be grounded in rhetorical theory and in the opportunities for practising and discussing persuasive communication that form a compulsory element of the course. Students will, for example, learn how to prepare and deliver speeches in various settings and genres. With the constant present question What characterizes good and efficient communication?, ethical aspects of persuasive communication will be addressed.
