I am a postdoctoral researcher in media history at the Department of Communication and Media. In my research, I combine economic history with media theory and cultural analytical perspectives. From January 2021, I hold a position within the project A nation of everyman investors: Stock saving and the circulation of financial knowledge in Sweden 1978–2018. My analytical focus is on how the emergence of investment cultures in Sweden, especially among youth, interacted with new media during the period.

In my PhD dissertation A link to a larger world: Mail order in Sweden during the early 20th century (2020), I examined the mediated encounter between a mail order company and its audience. Through advertisements, catalogues, agencies and PR tours, mail order gave rise to commercial literacy. My main research interests are media and advertising history, household economy and everyday life. I have been a visiting PhD reseracher at Bournemouth University, UK and Università di Bologna, Italy.
