Today we have the pleasure to welcome Allan Burnett to KOM
Here's how he describes himself:Born and raised in Scotland's western isles, I was educated to Masters level in history and literature at The University of Edinburgh. I began work in the UK as a journalist and later as an author of history books for children and general adult readers, regularly workshopping at schools and adult education venues. My PhD project in Media History at Lund university builds on my long-standing interests in memory politics and in the narration of the Second World War, it being an investigation into the ongoing cultural impact of the World At War (1973-4) British television documentary series and its related media - with a particular focus on the intermedial performance and interpretation of oral witness testimony.
